Crystal Muñoz Ellis was born and raised in the city of Glendora, California. She attended Azusa Pacific University (“APU”) where she graduated with a bachelor of arts in Broadcast Journalism. During her time at APU, Crystal was a writer and video editor for “The Clause Newspaper,” and a Lead Officer for the Latin American Student Association (“LASA”). Crystal first discovered her interest in law when she took a journalism ethics class, and her research paper was selected out of the entire journalism program to be presented at the the 25th Annual Communication Ethics Conference.
In 2012, shortly after Graduation, Crystal began working for K-ABC7, one of Los Angeles’ largest television news networks, and as a Bail Agent for her moms Bail Bonds Company. Later that year, Crystal realized her passion for news had been replaced with wanting to practice law. Crystal then decided to go to law school part-time in the evenings. Crystal attended Glendale University College of law while juggling work and family at the same time.
During her time in college and law school, Crystal participated in local pageants to win scholarship money in order to further her legal education, Crystal won over 6 pageant titles, including Miss Azusa 2009, and and Miss California Latina 2012. Crystal also was a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office, where gained valuable experience working with prosecutors on numerous cases. In addition, Crystal is a real estate investor and licensed Realtor for the State of California.
Currently, Crystal works at The Law offices of Munoz~Munoz, alongside her two older brothers Ralph Muñoz and Michael Muñoz, and her husband, Warren Ellis. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, scuba diving, playing the piano and traveling the world with her husband and her two dogs, Sandy and Gizmo.
